The leading edge of culinary steel.
Hey everyone! Evan here. I wanted to jot down a few key aspects of the business so that you fully understand where we have come from, where we are going, and how we want you to be a part of our journey.
Apollo Knives started just like any other great small business venture in California: from the garage of our home. In early 2022, an idea was sparked in my wife and I’s minds and we have run with that idea ever since. We wanted to create chef knives that truly stood out as unique pieces, knives that became a conversation piece while you cook your meal with family, and to make a knife that was bespoke to each customer. That’s where the copper knife handles came in.
The idea was based on a simple premise: create the world's best chef knife to be used in home kitchens to culinary enterprises across the globe. The knife industry, specifically the chef knife industry, has many competitors. As a veteran-owned small business, we knew that our brand was up against some of the best knife makers in the industry.
But this is where a lot of people get us wrong. We have no desire to over-shadow, push out, or even “do better” than any business the public would view as our competitor. Rather, we realize that all knife companies can exist together as many knife makers offer their craft to the world.
We decided to have the handles of our flagship chef knives made out of copper alloy. There were a lot of questions upfront about why and there still are. We decided on copper for a few reasons. First, machining the copper posed a unique problem set for us that we wanted to tackle head-on. Second, we have yet to see many chef knife makers use this metal in knives. Lastly, we were thinking of the customer. Copper will naturally patina over time creating a custom and unique look for every chef knife we sell. It is up to you, the end user, to decide if you want that polished copper look or if you prefer the classic patina look.
Of course, we will make knives with other finishes on the blades and use different materials for the grips, but we wanted to be unique. We wanted to stand out from the rest. And we wanted to draw the attention of everyone that enters your kitchen.

Second, we will always keep innovating. We want to bring you, the customer, the best experience, product, and utility from every knife that you purchase. Our end goal is simple: become a household name and staple in your cutlery tool chest.
It’s important that we always make a few things clear to you, our customer:
First, our knives will always be designed, sourced, machined, and assembled in the United States of America; this is an aspect of the knives we make that we are unwilling to veer from.
Lastly and most importantly, we at Apollo Knives make every knife with the goal of meeting your expectations for quality and utility. We understand that sometimes circumstances may arise that require you to return your purchase. Therefore, we offer a 14-day return warranty from the date of purchase.
If you are not completely satisfied with your chef knife, please contact us within 14 days of the purchase date on our contact us page. We will be happy to provide you with a return authorization number and instructions for returning the item to us. Please note that the knife must be returned in its original packaging and in new, unused condition. Once we receive the returned item, we will inspect it to ensure that it meets our return criteria.
